Guest Speaker - Aparna Sharma

Aparna has a Doctorate in Film from the University of Glamorgan, she graduated with a Bachelor degree in Journalism from Lady Shi Ram College in New Delhi and later acquired a Masters in Politic Science from the University of New Delhi before gaining an additional MA in Film. She has directed two films Exhale and Paigam and won an internship at the Washington Smithsonian working on archival materials to preserve historical and contemporary representations of Wales and Welsh Culture.  
She will be presenting on culture as written through montage. 

Guest Speaker - Terry Flaxton

Terry is an AHRC research Fellow based at the University of Bristol. His research interests are centred around High Definitions media insurgence and the effect new aesthetics will have on industry and viewing regimes. He is a practicing cinematographer and will be speaking on High definition aesthetics and technologies. 

AVPhD symposium

What - This is a space for exploring practice in relation to research and practice based research, within Audio and Visual media.  The conference is designed to exhibit current practices and illuminate their distinctions and possible impact on industry and wider academia.
